Raise Right Fundraiser (pdf)
DownloadThe Band Aides is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Webster Groves School District's band program — marching band, concert bands, ensembles, jazz bands, and combos — and the kids who thrive in it.
Music education matters. Studies consistently show that music students develop stronger reading and math skills, score highere also offer artist development, band management, and booking services to help you grow and succeed in the industry.

One of the main ways we support the band program is by raising money. This takes our basic school funded band and turns it into an exceptional band.
Ways we raise money:
• Football Game Concession Stand
• Host a Trivia Night
• Mattress sales
• Poinsettia sales
• Concerts at great places like Delmar Hall and the Stifel Theatre.
• Partner with local restaurants --- The Parkmoor, Panera, Dewey’s and Chipotle --- for dine outs where a percentage of sales benefit the band.
• Parking lots for Community Days in July.
Want to get even more involved? The Band Aides Board meets the third Wednesday of the month, typically online. All band parents are members of the Band Aides. Please join us and look for volunteer opportunities to support this vital organization that has an enormous positive impact on our kids and our community.
While school budgets help cover the basics, a quality band program features uncommon instruments that can be expensive – a 5 octave marimba, a bass clarinet, even tubas are all priced out of a typical family's means. Funds are needed for band "emergencies" too - that baritone sax or piccolo trumpet needing a sudden repair, for example.
Band trips to locations both in and out of the country are offered to band students and are supported in part by the Band Aides. These trips are opportunities for band kids to perform, hear great music, and experience a culture different from their own. These experiences provide students with memories that last a lifetime.
While the band directors are master musicians and master teachers of music, the Band Aides also support students’ at-school learning by bringing in professional musicians for master classes.
So many little things add to the band experience for our students. We pay for food at social events, clean uniforms and fund repairs, as needed. The summer t-shirts were a Band Aides purchase, too!
Fundraising by the Band Aides can contribute to two different types of accounts. Most fundraisers contribute to the general Band Aide fund and provide for items listed above. However, there are a few fundraisers that contribute directly to your own student's account. Every band student has a personal account, created and managed by the Band Aides. From this account, you can fund your student's band trips and band camp.
